Back in Prague

I just arrived back in Prague in March but it is a bittersweet visit. I am back now to pack up my things and move back home. The doctors think I have a genetic eye condition that could possibly cause me to go blind. I am heading home to seek immediate medical attention. I do hope that this will not be the end of my experiences in Prague. Lord willing, I hope to be able to come back and visit often.

My first weekend back I went to the Czech theater with Vera V and Alena B. Both members of the church. Every year I enjoy going to concerts and plays with the Czech people who put such a high value on culture. This year and last year I bought a "permaninka". It is a ticket to see 8 specific shows--4 plays, 2 operas and 2 ballets. Above is a picture of Vera and Alena from our last Wednesday night time of prayer and singing. If you ever come to Prague, I highly recommend going to the theater at least once.

ps. My gallbladder surgery in January was a great success and I happy to say that I am now pain-free!! Praise God!

Home

I flew home to PA on Tuesday so that I could have some additional tests done. The final verdict with the Czech doctors was that I have "low cell immunity" and that they wanted to give me injections of concentrated cell immunity--apparently a Czech specialty. I am seeing a gastro doctor on Thursday. I pray that everything will run smoothly and that I will quickly be able to return to Prague and be able to work running on 100%! Thanks for all the prayers.

Vera's health has not been doing well again. Her eyes are continuing to get worse and I ask that you continue to pray for her health. Losing her field of vision has been understandably distressing for her.

My First Day On Site

I am looking forward to starting strong this fall in the Lord's work here in Prague. The summer has been a tough one for me with my struggling health. But Lord willing, I am recovering and will be 100% here in no time! I held individual classes again this week---it was the first time in several weeks. (Due to vacationing Czechs and my health) Please be praying as the fall classes start again.
